So, this happened.
I seem to be in a haulin’ mood which is great and
scary at the same time. After this, it really is time to lock my credit cards up
again. No joke.
Ok, let’s start things off with MAC as I only
purchased 2 items there. Both are from two different Limited Edition
collections; the first an Extra Dimension Blush from the Alluring Aquatics
range and the second an eyeshadow quad from Pedro Lourenco collection.
I knew I wanted something from the Alluring
Aquatics because I simply can’t resist the packaging. It is absolutely stunning
and the blush I got ain’t too shabby either! So far in Malaysia, only 1 blush (Seduced At Sea will be at stores from 15th
June onwards) is available and that is ‘Sea Me, Hear Me’. The colour seems
to be darker in the pan but once swatched it is very finely milled and just
deposits the right amount of colour onto the cheeks. Absolutely love the light
sheen it gives as well.
Next up is a beautiful nudey-pink eyeshadow quad
from the Pedro Lourenco line. It houses 2 permanent MAC shades – All That
Glitters and Sable while introducing 2 new matte colours called – Pink Sands
and Rose Cloud.
Sometimes the MAC quads in new collections are
either a hit or a miss, this time, rest assured, is definitely a huge hit! From
initial swatches the shadows are nicely pigmented and feel very smooth. I was
drawn to this because of its neutral shades which are a perfect everyday
palette and I know that I will be putting this to good use!
I wanted to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear
Foundation for the longest time so it was the perfect opportunity to get it. I wanted
to see if this is as great as so many people make it out to be and I am a
sucker for full coverage finishes.
Another foundation that was in my radar is the
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour one. A friend of mine had raved about it so I figured
I might as well give it a go. The only other Tarte product that I have is the
blush in Exposed which is amazing, so hopefully this foundation will be
something I’d love too.
I purchased a Biotherm Toner for Normal/Combination
skin as my current Aveda toner is almost done *sobs*and I hope I’ll enjoy it as
much as my Aveda one as it’s much friendlier on the wallet too.
My final purchase was the Caudalie Vinoperfect
Radiance Serum which says can help reduce the appearance of dark spots and even
out the skin tone – both areas in which I need plenty of help with. It came in
box set which had a free gift (score!) which was a pretty decent sized
Enzymatic Peel Mask tube.
I have yet to test out the makeup products but I have
been using the serum for a couple of days and I don’t expect to see much of a
difference yet. For skincare, it takes time to see the results so am hoping by
the 2nd or 3rd month I will know if the product is worth
its price.
