MAC Double Feature 6 Eye Shadow

Sometimes I tend to overlook good products because I’m busy trying out newer items (or stuck in rut with the same eye makeup look for ages).

This eye shadow duo from MAC is one of those items I've overlooked or simply forgotten how great it is.

Called the Double Feature 6, it doesn't have individual names for the shadows but one is a matte grey taupe that isn't super pigmented but I like it for buffing. The other is golden bronze with a veluxe pearl finish and this is a real stand out colour for me.

These two are a perfect combination and the bronze shade also works well as a single lid colour or with the grey taupe buffed out at the crease.

I simply love the packaging of these shadows; the magnetic clasp gives it an expensive feel and also it’s helpful for the front cover to be transparent as I like being able to see my shadows.

This nifty duo is actually sufficient to pack on a trip if you are planning to only use minimal makeup. To help deepen the look, just apply a coloured base (I especially love Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze with this) and it will intensify the exceptional golden hue of this shadow.

It is extremely satisfying to rediscover hidden gems in my makeup collection. I wonder what else will I discover?
