SLEEK Blush ~ Flamingo

First of all, can I just say how much I love the packaging of Sleek blushes?

It is super compact, lightweight and sturdy. The perfect item to throw into your makeup bag as it takes up minimal space.

I have had this blush in shade Flamingo quite a while back and it is an extremely vibrant pink. So vibrant in fact that I haven’t had the courage to wear this more than once.

A single tap of a brush picks up an insane amount of pink powder and if you dare to apply it directly to the cheeks without – 1) Tapping off excess and 2) Lightly brushing it at the back of your hand; you are doomed to have bright pink clown cheeks FOREVER! Well, at least until you rub them off and try all over again.

I have no idea how in the world can these Sleek people make this blush so superhumanly pigmented. It even scares the bejeebers outta me and that’s saying a lot!

The trick to applying this blush is to do it, slowly and oh-so-carefully. Always start with a teensy bit of powder on the brush (that’s probably all you need as well) and please for the love of GOD tap off the excess. Only then should you dare to think to apply it on.

If you still think the colour is too strong, use a clean brush to blend in the colour OR a powder brush that still has a bit of product left and go over the blush OR I like to use my foundation brush (Sigma F80) to stipple over the area to tone it down a notch.

I will of course start using this blush again but I will only do so when I am not in a rush as I’m still trying to get the hang of it!
